Stereoscopic library It is not exactly the same as elevated warehouse.
By definition, stereoscopic warehouse, namely automated stereoscopic warehouse, is a warehouse system that uses high-rise shelves to store goods, and uses automated material handling equipment to carry out warehousing and outbound operations. It realizes the automatic management of the warehouse through the computer system, and can complete the storage, retrieval and handling of goods. The elevated warehouse usually refers to a warehouse that uses higher shelves (generally more than 5 meters high) to store goods. It emphasizes the height of the shelves.

In terms of structural characteristics, the stereo warehouse is equipped with automatic stacker, conveyor, shuttle car and other equipment, which can realize the automatic storage and retrieval of goods. Its shelf system design is complex, not only to meet the storage needs, but also to adapt to the operation of automation equipment. The structure of the elevated warehouse is relatively simple. Although it also has high shelves, the configuration of automation equipment may not be as perfect as the three-dimensional warehouse. Some elevated warehouses may only rely on simple equipment such as forklifts for cargo handling.
In terms of functions, the stereoscopic warehouse can improve the utilization rate of storage space and the efficiency of goods in and out of the warehouse by virtue of highly automated operation, and can realize 24-hour non-stop operation and control inventory. For example, in the warehouse of large-scale e-commerce, the stereoscopic warehouse can quickly process massive orders. Elevated warehouses also have certain advantages in space utilization. They can increase storage capacity through higher shelves, but they are often inferior to three-dimensional warehouses in terms of operating efficiency and automation. The warehouse of some small manufacturing enterprises may adopt the form of elevated warehouse to meet the basic cargo storage needs, while the degree of manual participation is relatively high.
It can be seen that the stereoscopic warehouse is a more comprehensive and highly automated warehouse system concept, and the elevated warehouse only emphasizes the characteristics of shelf height. Although the elevated library can be a form of stereo library to a certain extent, not all elevated libraries have highly automated storage and handling functions like stereo library. Therefore, we cannot simply say that the stereo library is an elevated library.
