WMS (Warehouse Management System) can well meet a variety of business scenarios, including inbound and outbound management, inventory counting, etc.
1、 Inbound and outbound management
Warehousing management
WMS system can record the warehousing information of goods in detail. The system can track the transportation status of goods from the supplier's shipment. When the goods arrive at the warehouse, the staff can quickly enter the basic information of the goods (such as name, specification, quantity, batch, etc.) into the system by scanning the barcode or RFID tag on the goods. The system will automatically allocate storage locations. This allocation process can be optimized according to the attributes of the goods (such as weight, volume, shelf life, etc.) and the layout of the warehouse. For example, for perishable goods, the system will give priority to the location near the refrigeration area.
At the same time, the system can handle multiple receipt methods, such as purchase receipt, production return receipt, transfer receipt, etc. Different warehousing methods have corresponding processes and approval links. WMS system can ensure the accuracy and timeliness of these links and improve warehousing efficiency.
Delivery management
In the issue phase, the WMS system generates an issue task based on sales orders or production picking lists. The system can plan the picking path, reduce the walking distance of staff in the warehouse, and improve the picking efficiency. For example, an advanced routing algorithm is used to provide the picking route for the picking clerk in combination with the warehouse shelf layout.
In addition, strict goods verification can be performed during issue. By scanning the goods label, the system will automatically compare whether the outbound goods are consistent with the order requirements, including quantity, specification, etc. In case of any discrepancy, the system will send an alarm in time to avoid wrong delivery.
2、 Inventory counting
Regular inventory
WMS system supports regular inventory counting. Before counting, the system can generate a counting task sheet to specify the counting range, responsible person and other information. During the counting process, the staff scans the goods labels, and the system will record the actual inventory quantity in real time and compare it with the book inventory in the system. Once a difference is found, the system will record the difference in detail, such as the difference quantity, the difference goods and other information, so as to facilitate subsequent cause tracking and adjustment.
Cycle count
In addition to counting, the WMS system can also carry out cycle counting. This counting method divides the warehouse into several areas, and counts each area according to a certain cycle. The system will arrange the cycle counting plan according to the importance of goods, turnover rate and other factors. For example, for goods with high value and high turnover rate, the counting cycle can be set shorter to ensure the accuracy of inventory data. Through cycle counting, problems in inventory management can be found in a timely manner without affecting the normal operation of the warehouse.
Through its powerful functional modules and flexible configuration, the WMS system can effectively meet various business scenarios such as inbound and outbound management and inventory counting, and improve the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse management.
