AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles) is also known as unmanned carrier vehicle, automatic navigation vehicle and laser navigation vehicle. Its main feature is unmanned driving. AGV is equipped with an automatic navigation system, which can ensure that the system can automatically drive without manual driving, and can carry goods or materials from the starting point to the destination automatically. Another feature of the autonomous mobile car is its flexibility, high level of automation and intelligence. The motion path of the autonomous mobile car can meet the requirements of the warehouse goods. The production process, such as changing and flexibly changing and changing the running path, costs much less than the rigidity of traditional conveyor belts and transmission lines. AGV is equipped with loading and unloading mechanical device, which can automatically interface with other logistics equipment to realize the automation of the whole process of cargo loading and unloading. In addition, AGV also has the characteristics of clean production. AGV relies on the built-in battery for power supply, which has no noise, no pollution during operation, and can be used cleanly in many harsh working environments.

I Type of AGV

AGV has a history of 50 years since its invention. With the expansion of application fields, its types and forms have become diverse. AGV is often divided into the following types according to the navigation mode during automatic driving:

1. Electromagnetic induction guided AGV

The electromagnetic induction guidance is usually on the ground, driving along the predetermined road and embedding wires. When the high-frequency current passes through the wire, the electromagnetic field is symmetrically installed on the conductor and the autonomous mobile car with two electromagnetic sensors on the left and right. The difference in the strength of the electromagnetic signals they receive can reflect the degree of AGV deviation from the path. The automatic control system of AGV controls the vehicle steering according to the deviation, and continuous dynamic closed-loop control can ensure the stable and automatic tracking of the set path of AGV. This kind of induction guidance navigation method is currently used in most commercial agv, especially for large and medium-sized agv.

2. Laser guided AGV

This kind of autonomous mobile car is installed on a rotary laser scanner. Reflective reflective laser positioning signs are installed on the wall along the path or pillar. The autonomous mobile car relies on the laser. The laser scanner and the received positioning signs reflect the laser beam back. The on-board computer calculates the current position and direction movement of the vehicle. Through comparison and built-in digital map orientation, So as to realize automatic processing.

At present, the application of this AGV is more and more common. On the basis of the same guiding principle, if the laser scanner replaces the infrared transmitter or the ultrasonic transmitter, it is beneficial for AGV to become an infrared laser heuristic AGV and an ultrasonic heuristic AGV.

3. Vision guided AGV

AGV is a kind of rapidly developed and mature AGV. AGV is equipped with CCD camera and sensor, and the environmental image database is built on the airborne computer. In the AGV process, the camera dynamically acquires the information of the surrounding environment and compares it with the image database to determine the next position and decision.

AGV is a good guide in theory because it does not need any physical path settings. With the rapid development of computer image acquisition, storage and processing technology, AGV is stronger and stronger.

In addition, there are many forms of AGV, such as ferromagnetic gyro inertial guided AGV and optical guided AGV.
