How to classify Automatic stereo library
Now what we call automated three-dimensional warehouse or automated storage system, its content has greatly exceeded the previous definition. Simple classification, including tray type Stereoscopic library (AS/RS) and Miniload. The two can be further divided into many subcategories, such as:
AS/RS: single depth stereoscopic library, double depth stereoscopic library, dense storage system (in many forms), etc. In addition, there are different pallet forms, different shelf forms, different track forms, different control forms and different structural forms of stackers, which break down into many sub categories; Miniload: single depth, double depth, multi-layer shuttle system, 4-way shuttle system, etc.
The main equipment and systems constituting an automated three-dimensional warehouse include: shelf system (shelf, roadway equipment, platform, etc.), stacker system, conveyor system, tray, network, information system, etc. In addition, there are supporting forklifts, signs, guardrails, etc.
From the designer's point of view, the automated warehouse may only be a part of a logistics system. At this time, the overall location and supporting systems should be considered, including the receiving system, shipping system, storage area, picking area, packaging area, sorting area, etc. Of course, it is critical to choose the storage form.
Pallet: The previous pallet design has become an important part of the design of automated warehouse. After years of changes, it is recommended to use standard pallet (1200 * 1000 * 150mm). Of course, this provision is not unchangeable.
Single depth or double depth: there are not many cases of using double depth. In addition to about 15-25% inventory increase, double depth has many restrictions. Some designers use double depth stereoscopic library, if not carefully analyzed, they will often fail to achieve the goal.
